Dedication to Artists
Sister company, SLATE contemporary, is an art gallery in Oakland, CA, where we show the artists on the gallery’s roster and guest artists from around the country. The gallery is known for its emphasis on abstract painting and photography, but also features figurative, landscape, nature-based work, as well as mixed-media art, and sculpture. SLATE contemporary also works closely with interior designers and art consultants, helping them to source art for their clientele.
SLATE Art Consulting works in the B2B sector, offering art consulting services bundled with art procurement packages to companies, institutions, and real estate developers on a contract basis. We start by learning about a client’s needs and design intent, then searching the globe for the best art for the space. We love to partner with and support interior design professionals, architects, developers, property managers, and business owners, helping them to source artwork and commission large-scale paintings, murals, sculptures, and even public art, for renovations and new-construction projects. Industries served include legal, IT, life science, education, multi-family housing, senior living, hospitality, health care, and retail.
We have built major art collections for clients that express their commitment to diversity equity and inclusion (DEI). We have assembled budget-based decorative print collections for healthcare, education, and affordable housing. Corporate collections often dive deep into artist communities local to our client’s offices. In the last three years we have completed international projects in Sweden, Ireland, Denmark, and Canada. National projects were executed in Illinois, Nebraska, Texas, Alabama, Arizona, New Mexico, Utah, Washington, and Oregon; as well as serving businesses in Silicon Valley, the Peninsula, San Francisco, and the East Bay.
